About a decade ago, Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland had an outdoor sculpture exhibit. This was one of my favorite pieces in the exhibit. It was placed beyond a curve in the road and in an open space surrounded by trees, but it's beauty was captivating.

I agree. I haven't seen this gesture before: is it telling you to keep a secret? Is it telling you to be quiet, to reflect? Is it giving you a warning? Captivating. Excellent way to photograph this statue.

A beautiful balance of s matter and tones--the glow is special, and enhances the textured flow so well---SHHHHHH You'll wake the dead

I came across a photo of an angle in a graveyard in Rome.... IMHO the angel gave such a sense of protection.... I will try and find it and will let you see it..... Your silence photo reminded me. :)
We must not forget the artistsic masters who enstoned these human expressions merely by converting their imaginations! What a skill? -
