This country lane in the beautiful Umbrian village of Spoleto is far steeper than it looks. It leads up to 14th century Rocca Albornoziana, an impressive castle that sits at the highest point of this mountain village. This imposing structure became a prison in the 1800's and remained so until the 20th century. Now it's a fascinating museum that's well worth the long climb up.

Such a magnificant scene of Spoletto, Deb. I agree that it certainly appears to be a painting. The processing is very stunning, and it even seem as if there are tiny brush strokes to be seen!! One of your very, very finest works of art!!!
