Convict Lake experiences high winds that can push ice slabs up on edge or flat out. Managed to get down to the edge without falling in with my tripod supported on a bolder somewhere below. The wind was blowing hard enough to close the crack in the middle and put spots on the lens. Had a short break in wind and clouds to capture this shot.
