The Italian village of Durata is known for its beautiful hand painted pottery. As Fred and I wandered a winding back street of that town, we came across wall embedded with bits pf pottery. I wanted to take part of the wall home with me.

do something yourself. i'm a mosaic artist and it isn't that difficult. there are a whole lot of books that will tell you how.

so interesting. in seattle some people were doing a patio out of broken pottery. anyone going by could add to it with pottery, or anything else. I embedded my front door key in the grout.

Such a beautiful way to use broken pottery! My grandmother had a concrete picnic table years ago, into which she had embedded glazed pottery shards and broken glazed colorful tile. This reminds me of it.
