I've been thinking about Billy lately and looking back over his wonderful shots. A burly construction worker from Newcastle upon Tyne, Billy loved the simple things in life, nature, his pretty little granddaughter Alethea. He had a love of old abandoned buildings and graveyards which I shared with him.
I got cancer... Billy did also! I survived Billy sadly did not but he faced his cancer head on and was not afraid to take us on his journey with him through his photos.
Billy never tired of sunsets so Billy this one is for you... we miss you!

This is such a pretty image! It is perfect for him. I have had him on my mind a lot too. He had a love for life and all the beautiful things it held. He fought hard to stay with us.

What a heartwarming and emotive dedication. He did do well facing his cancer and it was so sad that he was finally engulfed by it. However, as you say we do have memories of his photos, his loves and his life!!!!
