One of the most famous monuments of Turkish and Islamic architecture. This imperial place of worship is the only mosque that was originally built with six minarets.
Although it is popularly known as the Blue Mosque, its real name is Sultan Ahmet Mosque.
It is called the Blue Mosque because of its interior blue tiles and paintwork.
But if you are lucky, sometimes at dusk, the dome and towers of this mosque become bluish.
