OIL, Waunakee, WI

One cannot argue that oil, and it's use by humans, has had a profound impact on our environment. The deep blue sky was most impressive against the stark white tanks pictured here. I chose black and white film and a red filter for the shot to convey the bleak and dark future that may be ahead if we continue as usual. I had no idea that taking the photo would raise enough suspicion to bring a visit from the Waunakee police to my home in Middleton. I was believed to be an "activist" but the other photographic work I had lying around my home proved that I was an artist. A controversial subject indeed.
