Home, this is something that the soldier is consistently thinking about. Although physically away, he is always there mentally and spiritually. Always recalling his past experiences, always remembering the smiles of the loved ones he has left behind. The smells of home, the taste of a home cooked meal, the simple touch of his or her spouse. These are all the things that run through the mind of the deployed soldier. At the end of the day he finds himself walking back to his room after a long days work. He showers, eats and crawls into bed. He then finds himself drifting away. He dreams of home, feels the warmth that it brings, and just when he is almost there, he opens his eyes to find himself still overseas. He sighs...closes his eyes once again and longs for the day when his past will becomes his present again, laying there...he waits...
