This beautiful male rosebreasted grossbeak rests in our redleaf plum tree. He is taking a few days' rest during his migration from Central America to the northern US and Canada. These birds are not native to this area.

    Thank you for posting this as it means that they will soon be migrating to our area...We've been looking for the grosbeaks every day and the other colorful birds that come our way from such a distance and they haven't arrived yet..He is such a handsome bird...
