Wisely flattered his own conceit,

I shot this picture on the 29th when I was outside by the bird feeder...the little chickadee was entranced with gazing at his own reflection and he kept it up for quite awhile flying up and down the window......I thought it was interesting how only its head reflected back to him inside the planter that holds the begonia plant on our window sill..

Makes for a great shot! Our bluebirds do that on a daily basis. We often hear bumps on the windows and look around to see bluebirds trying to get in!

Thanks for the comment Donald..I would love to see you post a picture on your site of a bluebird in the process of inspecting its reflection when you get the
opportunity..since you say they do that on a daily basis you might be able to capture the picture of it from either inside the house or outside. -

Like Don, our bluebirds do this too. They also like the sideview mirror on the van, so we have to keep them folded down. Great capture, Andrea! I love the wing motion. I have a shot of one of the female bluebirds confronting her reflection in the neighbor's sideview mirror.

excellent! Every spring we get some cute little guys that fall in love with themselves and flap against the upstairs window for hours. Even putting something inside against the window doesn't seem to distract them. love is wonderful.
