While shooting a wedding last weekend, the ring bearer and flower girl just past by
me as they scattered pedals onto the white runner. The Bride was just about to walk in.
The image was pretty but I wanted to quickly simulate the light coming through the
Church window. I put my SB 800 strobe on the runner and used the mini built in bounce card as I wanted the light to be as narrow as possible knowing I'd get the fall off of light achieving
that black but striking effect. I used a Nikon D300S with a Tamron 20-40 mm 2.7 lens set at
20 mm. There are great lines, light, texture and shadow play in this photo. Why wait for the Bride to walk down the aisle when you can make something creative. The creative juices are
always flowing in my brain. I managed to get two shots and then my focus was the Bride coming down the aisle. Michael Asaro photo C2012 All rights reserved LIGHT YOU UP
