And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the "lilies of the field, how they grow, they toil not, neither do they spin....Matthew 6: 28

Irises in Biblical scriptures
Quote them as lilies of the field.
In photography they are revealed
To open our eyes in pictures.

Purple Irises grew wild
By the old house that burned;
The folk's lost a young child,
But the flowers returned.

They've graced an empty space
With the most tender regard;
Some dug from the home place
Spent many years in our yard.

Tho' my parents are both gone
To join my little brother beyond...
The Wild Irises remain here
Each spring to bring cheer...
Poetry By me, AJP

I shot this picture of the Irises early last evening glowing in the setting sun..
I used the following settings on my camera...

Focal length 185 mm..macro
F-Number F/11
Exposure time 1/100 sec.
ISO speed ISO- 560
Exposure Program Manual

    Thank you all for your very kind words...Litz, the settings that I used for this picture doesn't work for everything...It depends on the lighting...You have
    to experiment with bracketing your manual settings for the best results. Lots to learn in photography and I am still learning ... I don't consider myself an expert by any means....far from it...

    Thank, Andrea. I really have to learn how to shoot Manual. I always rely on automatic. Balame it to Canon, their automatic setting is good.
