My first car was a 53 Chevy with fender skirts. My brother, who is 4 years younger, and I went to pick it up. The first thing I did was pull into a parking lot and rip of the fender skirts. What a dope! But we died laughing. This 57 was my second car.... and it was suh-weet. Such fine memories.
In the The Way We Were photo essay.

What a treasure!! My first car was an AMC Concord. Boring! Then a 76 Nova. Not even a cool one. I would love to have a ride like this.

Everything about these cars had appeal. I loved the over-sized steering wheels, the bare bones dashboards, stick shifts, fins... just all of it. Thank you for your lovely prop.
