Enter "Wilderness"!

Q: I am really into my wildlife photography but cannot afford a super zoom lens, I have a 300mm and am considering a teleconvertor. Has anybody had a experience with these and would you recommend them?

Couldn't figure out why this anole was staying so close to the lens, especially with such a short working distance with the 40mm micro, but it turns out he saw his reflection in the glass and went into his territorial behavior.
