This is my latest foster. My husband named him Tuco but we call him Li'l bit. He was pulled from the animal shelter in Warner Robins, Georgia. Li'l bit is approximately eight years old, weighs 6 pounds and was found wandering down the street. No one ever came in to claim him and we think we know why. We believe he has spent the majority of his life, in a cage breeding other tiny chihuahuas. When they didn't need him anymore, they dumped him. He has had no vet care and is in serious need of dental work on his last few remaining teeth. Sadly, he is heart worm positive. Li'l bit had forgotten how to smile. He did not wag his tail and he did not run to greet you when you walked in the door. He did cuddle though and loved a belly rub. Li'l bit has been with me for two weeks now. He is on treatment for heartworms and has had all his shots. Imagine how thrilled I was when he ran to the door, tail wagging to greet me yesterday. He will be going in to be fixed and have his dental work done on Monday. He will also be retested to see how his heartworm treatment is coming along. Now, if only I can get him house broken.
