Blue Morpho Butterfly: Among the largest butterflies in the world with wings spanning from five to eight inches, these beautiful butterflies are found in the tropical forests of Latin America from Mexico to Colombia. Their vivid, iridescent blue coloring is as a result of the microscopic scales on the backs of their wings.
Spotted and photographed at the Butterfly and Insect World, Edinburgh, Scotland.
