Last night at 11:40 pm I happened to look out the window and saw this young great horned owl sitting atop the bird house pole. It was a moonlit night and I quickly got out the Sigma 500 mm zoom lens with hopes of getting something worthwhile. Fortunately for me this young owl was as curious about me as I was about him, and I got better results than expected, using manual focus and a flash, through the window..
