Central Oregon high desert country in the Ochoco Mountains. Volcanic origins, rugged but thriving country. This particular point is about 4,000 ft in altitude.
Taken mid June, the fir and juniper trees have new growth giving them the light green/yellowish tine. This is open range cattle country, also home to mule deer and elk.
