I did this self portrait experiment at 3:00 this afternoon to hang the flag up in preparation for the 4th of July. I thought of different places to hang the flag, but ended up tacking it over the old door of this ancient wooden building on our property..
It was a difficult self portrait as the lighting was bright and contrasty that time of the afternoon and had to manually stop down to F/16. It helped to turn my back so that you didn't see the shadows across my face:) However, the fact that it was a bright day plus stopping down to a smaller aperture, sharpened the detail and the texture on the building..
