I did not take this picture but I thought it was an interesting picture of my Mom and Dad taken by my uncle Ray.....about 15 years before I was born.
I like the composition of the pic.
The way my uncle uses the lines of the walk way and the street to frame my parents is interesting to the eye. The fact that it is color film in 1951 is very interesting. All of the other pics I have seen of them from this era are all in black and white.
They look so happy and their life together had just begun. It was the beginning of the post war boom and they were part of it. A new house, a new life and brand new baby boy.
The start of the American Dream. Where would it lead the two of them?

Thanks Susan. It's in that area. I THINK it's at my aunt and uncles house in University Hts. Not sure.
