We had to buy a generator to keep the freezers and refrigerator going during the repeated power outages. Not enough for the A/C though, it was hot, hot, hot! Power is out for the third time in the last five days. The AEP crews have done an outstanding job of restoring power but repeated thunder storms keep knocking it out again.

I don't know what we would do without our generator, Fred. I know how much you must enjoy yours in this heatwave and powerless days. Ours has also saved us a lot of grief on many occasions here in Maine. I bought a Honda generator as soon as I married Dave and moved to Maine. I think they are a very wise investment. Our generator runs everything in the house on very little gasoline. Glad to know you have one and you're not suffering so much!!!

Good to know you have at least some power capability during the outages. Summer outages have got to be the worst. At least in winter, our normal outage period, we can always huddle around the wood stove in the shop and put more clothes on ... summer you can only take off so much to stay cool. ;-)
