Thy light shall break forth as the morning. and thine health shall spring forth speedily...
A week ago today my husband and I decided together to go on a healthy lifestyle diet combined with exercise, of power walking early in the morning before breakfast and at night after supper.. and we are sticking to it...I am holding three yellow Zucchinis just picked from our garden today (I thought of placing them on the refrigerator rack but they showed up better by my holding them and by bracing the refrigerator door open with my back at the same time..)
I don't believe in starving oneself to lose weight but to take it off gradually by cutting down on
saturated fats, eating more fruits and vegetables, more high fiber foods, eliminating all highly
processed foods as far as possible and drinking up to 6 to 8 glasses of water a day...Oh yes,
no snacks except for fruits and vegetables.... Another thing I want to mention is to avoid High Fructose Sweetener...A large fountain drink at a Fast Food place is over 300 calories..Water is 0 calories..A lemonade sweetened with Spebia is also no calories...One (100 calorie) cookie eaten every day over and above the calorie intake needed to maintain one's weight will result in a 10 lb weight gain in a years time.
It helps to have a partner who is willing to put forth that effort too for both of us to reach our goal. I want to lose 20 lbs and my husband wants to lose 10.
