Agave Americana Century plants in once in a life time bloom.
After growing for many years and blooming only one time they sprout the very long 30-40 foot stem mast rapidly, bloom a rosette and bear fruit at the end of their long life span. The tall mast collapses and they die shortly afterwards. Sadly these four very old majestic Agave Century Plants in my photo all died at the same time two weeks after they bloomed.Life long bonds, even with plants.

The mast grows very quickly and sadly, they die at their grandest moment.
