In a month, the seagrapes will be ripe. They provide a rich and large food supply for the abundant wildlife on Sanibel Island and Captiva (in fact, in all South Florida). On the island they grow to the height of trees. The farther north you go in FL, the shorter they grow. In the St. Petersburg area, they are large bushes.
