The cabin that was used for the filming the classic western movie "Shane". The set is slowly settling back into the earth, as the owners prefer. The buildings are not being preserved but the area is enclosed within an old rail fence and the grass is kept mowed, that is all. There are no signs or indication of where or if stumbled upon, what it is. Only word of mouth from those that live around there. It is located somewhere in the Grand Teton National Park.

Oh Shane Please come back!! What a piece of history. I can certainly understand the owners wanted to just leave it to return whence it came. What a find OC!

What a great entry!! And a cool place!! We have been trying to figure out where my husbands name came from and the only thing we can think of is that movie. It is a beautiful spot and kinda sad to see it going away.
