This image is my reminder of why I wish to be a photographer. The idea of being confined to a small space surrounded by four walls all day would be a torturous way to spend this life on earth. I live to explore, and to see the beauty in the world, and that becomes impossible when the only view of the world you get is from an open window overlooking the street. So this is my photograph to inspire me to keep going and to never stop this pursuit of becoming a photographer professionally, even on those days when I feel like I'm behind in the game and have nothing left. I now can look at this and remind myself that at the end of the day I can either be a photographer doing what I love with curiosity guiding me, or an office dweller letting the only sense of curiosity be what lies on the other side of these four walls and one open window.
(Taken with a Canon Sure Shot point and shoot camera and expired Kodak Gold 400, expiration date unknown.)
