On the occasion of my first tattoo at age 61. The Raven is not only the symbol of my studio, but represents my identity as an artist. Six years ago, I was diagnosed with a neurological condition that impacted my ability to make art and brought on a depression. The tattoo is a permanent reminder of my having come out the other side stronger, happier, and more determined than ever to recommit to a life lived creatively.
