Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see...St. Luke10: 23

A world of surprises
Sparks these eyes
Of the darkest brown.
Is the olive tree
Used for climbing down
To see what ye may see?
It all depends...
On the point of view
When seeing through
The camera's lens
It caught thee
Watching me:)
Poetry by me AJP

The red squirrels have not been back on the feeder since August 12th...This is a picture I shot on August 11th ... I captured various shots out doors of this squirrel in its progress of climbing down the tree but the one that was different from the rest was when this cute little guy turned its head for a split second to look at me to see if I were still watching him...They love to show off for the camera...The red squirrels might be staking out a territory for their winter home right now and storing spruce cones to prepare for the cold weather ahead.. This will be hard work for them...They really entertained us while they stuck around this summer and I think they had fun as well.

Thank you so much Zapata for nominating this picture to be voted on...I appreciate it!

This is a wonderful shot and I agree with others, this red squirrel looks like he is posing for you. I have enjoyed seeing them through your photos. I wish that we had red squirrels here but maybe it is to hot of a climate for them.

Thank you all for your kind words...Ann, we never used to have red squirrels either until we
planted cone bearing trees. This is the first summer that they actually stayed awhile..I made
friends with mama red squirrel first and then she brought her young ones to the feeder:)...We
might see them again this winter if their food supply that they have stored, runs low...
