The house is in Dorval, on Lakeshore Drive and beside the location I could never say I like it. I don’t like very much this style: huge building and very small windows! When they started recently (last year) to build the extension I wasn’t sure again about the result.
Now that is ready I found that they did a great job. The combination of old and modern is perfect in my opinion and I just can imagine how nice it will be to sit on a chair in that glass hallway and admire a beautiful sunset on St-Louis Lake.

I like it too! What a great view that would be. The older structure definitely looks like Old Quebec!

I don't think I have ever seen this kind of an glass extension and it really is a clever idea ...I like it simply for being able to see the outside view better (since the house has such tiny windows:) ..Great capture, find and entry!

It is really hard to mix new with an old especially in architecture, it seems they are successful in doing that in this building.. The are so wise in using the walkway to merge them together.

What a strange juxtaposition of styles! Terrific capture and theme entry!

It's daring, and it works. The older home probably has limited views. The glass house has unlimited views, and it lets in the sunshine. Very different. Good capture.

I like that they maintained the integrity of the older structure, a very creative solution.. and a terrif entry!

The contrast between the architectural styles is striking! What a wonderful find and capture, Ioana! This should be entered in the "househunting" theme.
