The Casa Grande ruins national monument was occupied by the Hohokam native Americans approximately 800 years ago and the ruins are one of the largest ever discovered in North America. Its first European observation was by Padre Eusebio Francisco Kino a spanish missionary in the region in 1694.

The ruins are currently protected by the U.S. National park service and entrance is permited daily.

This image was taken with a Pentax K1000 with 50MM f2 Pentax lense - film was Fuji Superia ISO 200 and exposure was 1/250 sec @ f11 - This image is one of those in my Amazon book on shooting old film cameras and can be see here:
