Some of you who have been following the progress of my weight loss... power walking program may remember me saying on August 4th that I hoped to be able to get into these shorts comfortably by my 69th birthday on September 5th.. I could not begin to get them zipped up in front at that time.
My husband and I started this project on July 9th and we stuck faithfully to it...We are now power walking three miles a day, morning and night... It is not easy, believe me at the age that we are.. (my husband is 72).... We go up and down hills on our gravel driveway and a rugged path through our woods. Many times I would be wringing wet from sweat by the time we got home....I have lost 10 lbs and went from 145 lbs to 135 lbs..
My husband went from 173 lbs down to 157 lbs when he weighed himself this morning..He has reached his goal weight loss and then some...He has been very supportive of me and requested that I wear these shorts today before cold weather. He shot this portrait of me with my camera today on the outside of a grocery store as I did not have my tripod with me.....The wind was blowing strongly which is why I look slightly windblown...:).
