An old tire swing has been hanging from this tree for years. It is in the yard of one of Dave's childhood friends. The home is vacant now, and his friend has passed away, but the tire remains as a fond childhood memory.

YES! My grandpa would hang one of these from the high limbs of a pear tree or from a nearby hickory tree.

Yes, the tire swings were very popular when I was young and spotted it immediately in the next picture before I opened this picture...We never had one when I was growing up but I did see them in other yards in the neighborhood...Wonderful picture and wonderful memory.
