Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

I discovered a spider that lives behind my house. When I found him his web had been destroyed.

I decided to photograph him and discovered that he rebuilds his web at night.

I have had a dickens of a time getting the correct exposure that captures both him and his web.

I decided to call him Fred. Not sure why. It just seemed to fit.
