Like most females, 'Beaches' is one of my favorite movies. I've had the soundtrack forever and call it up every now and again. Probably the least popular track on the CD is 'Oh Industry'. It is a very abstract, bizarre number that has my written name all over it. When I shot this crossing the river, this is the song that came to mind.
I am the captain and this is my shrine.
Lord of the manor. See what I leave behind.
River in flames, cities on fire.
Yes, I'm a relic trapped in the wire.
Hydrogen fuel, it burns so clean,
throbs in the veins; a mother lovin' machine.
She is my wife. Her mechanical heart
constantly serving 'til death do us part.
Perhaps fitting as we near elections.

I love these kind of industry shots. They are powerful in many ways, regardless if your worried about the ozone or love modern industry. They can be kind of haunting to me. Like something is being created that is unknown. Well done
