My favorite apple of all, the Winesap. When I was growing up, we generally had only 3 varieties: Golden Delicious, Red Delicious and Winesap. I think we may have a pie for supper!

Wonderful shot of a grand old apple variety. Favorite here is the Gravenstein, but it has fallen out of favor for the stores, they don't ship well. We fooled 'em, 2 trees in our orchard!
