To God every knee shall bow...
Isaiah 45: 23

This is a scanned print that I shot of the United Methodist Church in my hometown with my Canon T. 60 film camera... I used the existing light in the room without flash.

I wanted to shoot the interior of the little church that fall, to be made in a Christmas Card
and went with the caption Silent Night.. Since my mother was the organist there for many
years she had the key to open the door on a day when there was no church service..
.I asked her if she would kneel at the altar as I wished to show life and not just an empty church..
My mother passed away in October of last year but this is a picture I will treasure always...
(I have been going through some of my older pictures and found this one tonight in an album.)
I decided to use it for the Interior theme.

Thank you for the comments..My mother's health was still good at that time when she
was 86 years old and she was able to kneel on those steps without problem...It brings back
good memories when she was active and enjoyed life.

Perfect for the theme, I can see how this is a treasure of a photo of your late mother kneeling in the chapel that she loved so much.

A very touching and eloquent capture of your mother. There is something about her prayerful attitude in the empty church that is beautiful.
