Yeah, I was standing directly under this as it happened. It was actually on all sides of me, but the camera doesn't communicate that as well as I'd wish.

This sort of lightning (crawlers) is mostly almost always safer to be around than it's forked, ground striking cousin, because it rarely hits the earth. Still, it was accompanied by huge forks in the 5-10 mile distance…
