Although this sign sits at the corner of a playground that I pass daily on my way to work; it actually sits along a fairly busy stretch of road. Before this sign was painted approximately a week ago, motorists passing by were warned of the crackheads in the area. Discussing these changing signs with a colleague I found that the gentleman responsible for the signs is also responsible for the making of the park where once stood a burned-out and abandoned home. apparently, the local city government has given this gentleman and his neighbors a hard time about taking matters into their own hands by making something better of their neighborhood and providing a safer "playground" for their children. This morning (October 1st) I found yet another sign to replace this one. See my photo "Bend Over".
