This is a good portrait. The soldier's expression suggests weariness, pain and suffering. If we ignore trivial explanation for his expression, this image can be seen as an iconic portrayal of The Soldier.

I may be wrong... and this wont be popular but..
This man isn't a real soldier. This looks like something taken on a move set, the actor/model is just upset cause someone got his coffee wrong.
As a real soldier currently in Iraq, this photo really rubs me the wrong way. -

Tyler, I agree with you, as a veteran I know that this is off a set or something like that, the gear is on the "soldier" is not from modern times. Although it is still a good shot.
