I used to think I had no favorite mistakes because I am so highly critical of my photos...but then I took this. It was a jam session in a dusky basement and Kirk was in an even darker corner. I turned and saw his expression and shot...and the flash did not go off. But it ended up looking so evil that I didn't even have the heart to try to edit it. By the way, it was only a couple of days after Halloween.

Interesting...accident - but all the elements are in the image...so the effect works....maybe lead you to more portraits absent the flash...conscious of light and shadow composition....Smetana
