I thought this was a a good reason to celebrate.
My husband and I went on a power walking program starting earlier in July and we are doing 3 miles a day total now morning and early evening through the trail in our woods...My husband went from 173 to 155 lbs and lost 18 lbs. I have lost 16 lbs and went from 145 lbs to 129 lbs..
I could not do it without the positive support of my husband. It helps to have a walking partner who believes in what we are doing and who is dedicated to eating healthier foods as well in our diet. It is very important at our age to stay healthy.
November 2013 update: We are now walking 4 miles a day...My husband maintains his weight
between 145 to 150 lbs and I have been staying at 108 lbs which is where I feel best at....
