The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea I have a goodly heritage...Psalms 16: 6
Thursday our telephone
Went completely dead...
Out of order...no dial tone..
We heard silence instead.
Had to wait for repair...
To get on Cyber space.
Couldn't fly on-line
Like birds of the air
Traveling together.
The stormy weather
May get them behind
As they fell into place
To rest on the line...
Poetry by me AJP
We think a power-line worker accidentally ran over the phone box and wires that were buried underground, with his machinery while cutting brush recently...Consequently, the wires, etc.which were in a big jumble had to be replaced by a repairman from the phone company. These migratory birds were coincidentally resting on the power lines on the 17th the day before our phone went dead..Judging by the storm clouds... birds have many interruptions in their travels of life.
Thank you so very much Davide Simone for the generous spotlight!!!

Thank you all for your kind words....Almost everything is back to normal Suzanne..The repairman ran a temporary phone wire up to the house that is not yet buried underground but will finish the job either later this fall or they may have to wait until spring whenever they can find time to get around to it...I am just glad that we have phone service again.

Not only can people run into troubles when traveling, the birds face it also, Excellent capture showing the birds having to wait out a storm! Love your poem about this photo!
