Lovely composition, just wondering if you were able to bring the mid-tones up a bit so as to bring out the hidden detail in the face while preserving the highs and lows..... just a friendly suggestion.

I would love too. I haven't quite learned that procedures in photoshop. Where would I start?

Common in most photo editing software, should be in "Levels" with a slider bar or up/down clicks, adjust mid-tones up slightly.
