Not sure what happened here but the boy was obviously distressed by something. Of course, a counsellor is always available.
In L'Arche, people who have developmental disabilities and those who come to assist share life and daytime activities together in family-like settings that are integrated into local neighbourhoods.
This photo essay was done in the 1970's for The Winnipeg Tribune. L'Arche has grown immensely since then.

Impressionist scene, the floor turns black in the foreground and the scene almost ironic against the background of brick wall. Very heartfelt and strong!
