...Thou set thy nest among the stars...Obadiah 4

When my husband and I were catching up on our power walking behind a grocery store on the 3rd where there is a park area, I happened to look up and I spotted this unusual nest in a tree overlooking a river...The modern squirrels are getting with it now to recycle plastic materials for building their nest... Squirrels are not dumb by any means...They are persistent, and I admire their intelligence for survival.

The nest among the stars
Built with plastic and straw
Is for eyes to see in awe....
How smart squirrels are
To recycle bags that far!

Now that's being very resourceful! Irritating little buggers, but not dumb.

Squirrels are very smart and adapt to what they can find to use, this is a wonderful way to help make their nest more comfortable and protection against the elements.

And that nest will last for hundreds of years. . .given the half-life of a plastic bag.
