This is "Chippy", a chipmunk who sits on a big rock in the sunshine and eats sunflower seeds. And the wild turkey is "Tillie." We have watched her grow from a chick into a fine hen turkey. When Tillie comes into our yard to feed, Chippy runs over to feed beside her. I think they are great friends.

I thought of that same book that Don did when I saw this photo. The turkey has such beautiful earth tone feathers and it is endearing to see the turks and chipmunk being friends : )
