I was remarking to Mary Brown about how her red coat and purple sweater really made a great contrast against all the surrounding earthtones along the Blue Ridge Parkway. All that and her lovely face and red hair just cried out for a portrait!

I love the brightness of red and purple together and also love the textures on the building behind Mary...Your instincts were right it did cry out for a portrait and it made a great one.
