Q: I am really into my wildlife photography but cannot afford a super zoom lens, I have a 300mm and am considering a teleconvertor. Has anybody had a experience with these and would you recommend them?

A: Do you know?

After I was turned around by the fallen trees I waited for the State Trooper at the end of the plowed portion of the road to keep other vehicles from going into the deep, unplowed snow. Here is a state vehicle that decided tire chains were called for on the way back. When the WV State Trooper made it back to the plowed road I headed back down the mountain to clear roads. After a little slipping and sliding on the WV Turnpike I made it safely home form my trip to Richmond.

Wow, was that what you encountered on your way home from the Virginia meet-up? We never get that much snow here, in fact, we can go years with a single snowflake - but watch out for the summers which are brutally hot!!! Love your photo, from my place in front of my computer, it is an enjoyable scene : )

Wow! That is a lot of snow which would make traveling difficult...We often get weather like that here in the winter so I know how treacherous it can be.. This would be a perfect entry for the "Extreme Weather Aftermath" if you don't have one entered already....Excellent shot!

Once I lived here for a couple of seasons, I understood the winding roads. There's not that much snow, but the drop-offs are insane. Love this capture.
