The Whimbrel is a wading shore bird that is found very widespread. It can be found on all of the continents except Antarctica. This bird took a break during its migration south in Biddeford Pool. I had to wade through waste high water the climb on some rocks, crawl on my belly through algae and scrape my elbows on barnacles, but I got the shot! LOL!
