The Yellow-Rumped Warbler is one of the earliest warbler species to arrive in spring and the last to depart in the fall. To me, they are the true harbinger of spring, not the American Robin. In fact, the American Robin is resident throughout most of its range despite its latin name Turdus migratorius.
It's now late November, and I cannot wait to see these lovely birds again!
